Council Characters / Avatars - Project Brief (v1)

Flagged by Jeff 2026-06-16: "we will also need characters for all these." The named agents are a loved, legible feature (in the reports and the Studio composer). They need actual visual characters. This is the project brief; not built yet.

Visual direction (brand-locked)

Per affirmology-design and the investor-film concept: living marble-and-gold Hellenistic statues with inner constellations, Greek idealism, cinematic and a little witchy, deep emerald and gold. Each agent is one such figure with a distinguishing attribute, equal billing, none cartoonish. Used at small sizes (a portrait beside their voice), so each must read at a glance and be distinct in silhouette.

The roster that needs a character

Council experts: - Sophia, the Synthesist (the weaver; a serene oracle with many constellation threads gathering to one). - Hermes, the Western Astrologer (the interpreter of the heavens; winged motif, a zodiac band). - Parashara, the Vedic Astrologer (the sidereal sage; a nakshatra wheel, an older, deeper light). - Pythagoras, the Numerologist (geometry and number; a luminous tetractys / numeral motif). - Prometheus, the Human Design expert (the mechanic of the body-graph; a bodygraph of light, a held flame). - Athena, the Gene Keys expert (shadow to gift to siddhi; owl, an opening seed or chrysalis). The loop and listeners: - Orpheus, the Mythopoet (the storyteller; a lyre, words becoming light). - Apollo, the Conductor (the one who runs the critique loop; a sun-disc, a conductor's poise). - Hypnos, the subconscious check (sleep and the deep mind; closed eyes, a poppy, soft descent). - Echo, the Cultural Listener (the outward ear; ripples, a listening posture). Relationship lenses (sit on the synastry engine): - Eros (romantic), Concordia (business and teams), Hestia (family, the hearth), Gaia (the collective web).

Where the characters appear

• Reports: a small portrait beside each agent's aside and in the council-conversation page.
• Studio composer: attributes each step's message to the agent doing it (Sophia synthesizes, Orpheus drafts, Apollo conducts), with the face shown. This is in the v3 Studio mockup.
• Later: the investor/mission film (the Oracle and Astronomer-Sage statues already specced there map to Sophia and a Hermes/astronomer figure).

Build path (later)

1. Lock one reference style frame (a single statue portrait) so all agents share a look.
2. Generate each agent portrait (AI image gen) to that reference, transparent background, square crop for small use.
3. Store as brand assets; wire into the report builder (portrait + voice) and the Studio composer. Tie-in: this pairs with the Reporting System Overhaul project (the visuals that also fill report deadspace can be these characters plus constellation motifs).

Addition (2026-06-16, Jeff): a depth-psychology voice

• Jung, the Depth Psychologist (working name; alt "the Jungian Mystic"). The council's depth-psychology voice: shadow and the unconscious, archetypes, individuation, the personal myth beneath the chart. He has a real knowledge base already: Affirmology_DepthPsychology_JungianIntegration_Research_v1.md. Pairs naturally with Orpheus (the personal myth) and Athena (Gene Keys shadow-to-gift). Character: a marble-and-gold elder gazing inward, a mandala / shadow-and-light motif. Add to the council roster and, once built, let him speak in reports and the Studio composer like the others.

Expansion (2026-06-16, Jeff): more wisdom voices + the "Young" pun

• The depth-psychology agent should be a TWO-WORD play on Jung -> "Young": leaning into the Jungian puer aeternus (the eternal youth) as well. Candidates: Young Oracle, Young Seer, Young Shadow, Young Dreamer, Young Soul, Young Mythos. (Jeff wants better than "Young Mystic.")
• Add more tradition-voices to the council / knowledge layer:
• Campbell, the Mythkeeper -> Joseph Campbell, the Hero's Journey / monomyth; the separation-initiation-return arc beneath every audio (pairs with Orpheus).
• Wilber, the Integralist -> Ken Wilber, integral theory (AQAL, stages and states of consciousness); places a person on a developmental map.
• Laozi, the Taoist -> the Tao, wu wei, the watercourse way; effortless action, yin and yang, flow.
• An Indigenous-prophecy / earth-cycles voice (name TBD with care) -> Native American prophetic and earth-cycle wisdom. RESPECT NOTE: do not appropriate a specific living sacred tradition or title; honor it, source only from public, non-sacred material, keep the tier wall, and ideally consult/credit. Name it generally (e.g., "the Earthkeeper") rather than borrowing a real medicine-person title.
• AVATARS / LOOK-BANK (Jeff, future): every named agent gets a cool image/avatar, plus a reusable "look bank" to generate images. Build later; for now the reports ship text-only with the agent voices.
