Every rung is cheap and, deliberately, a DIFFERENT kind of thing so the drip never feels repetitive. No em dashes.
The idea in one line
The Origin Song is the hook. After it, we drip a short ladder of distinct, high-value goodies, each a new MODALITY and a new ANGLE, each opening a loop that only the beta closes. Variety carries the excitement; the beta invite lands after they have already felt three or four different kinds of "how did it know."
The ladder is a permanent funnel mechanic, not a one-time beta trick
The same shape serves BOTH gates:
- Now (pre-beta): free Origin plus this drip nudges a list person toward "Yes, I'm in" (the beta gate).
- Later (post-launch): free Origin plus this drip nudges a funnel visitor toward the PAID membership trigger. Same investment, same open loops, different gate. We build it once and reuse it. A person who has not pulled the paid trigger yet gets nudged with escalating free value until the membership feels obvious.
Sequencing: what to build now vs after beta
- Build NOW (near term, the pre-beta join group needs it soon): the CHEAP Mirror (one loudest door, single pass, ~$0.50), plus one or two cheap goodies. This is the whole point of the digestible one-door chunk. It is enough to make the pre-beta list feel deeply seen and pull them in. Alternative framing Jeff gave: "just go robust on a few salient issues" in one pass instead of a strict single door. Both are cheap single passes; pick per person.
- Build AFTER beta (before paid launch): the elaborate "$1 at a time" on-demand journey (the custom-audio economy where each extra audio is a small paid or shaped call). We only design that once beta testers show us what the real journey through the goodies looks like. Do not over-build the journey before we have that data.
Two populations, two spend rules
- Not-yet-committed list people (got Origin, deciding). They get the nurture ladder below. Each goody is an INDIVIDUALLY cheap single pass off their stored Profile (Layer 0 chart), NO full Deep Run. We cap the ladder (the four rungs below) so a person who never converts costs us at most ~$1.50 total. This protects us from spending deep money on people who never come in.
- Committed beta. On the "Yes, I'm in," we build the lean Understanding once (~$1) and unlock the ROBUST version: the full Mirror series (multiple doors), the growing chatbot, on-demand audios. The depth is the reward for commitment. This is the Tier 1 / Tier 2 split from the layered-architecture doc, applied to the drip.
The ladder (after Day 0 = Origin Soul Song)
Each rung lists: what it is, why it is DIFFERENT from the others, the loop it opens, and rough cost.
Rung 1 (Day 1-2): The Mirror, Door One
- What: a ~10 minute spoken reading chunk built on their single LOUDEST cross-system convergence. Hero-framed. Intimate voice (Fish, the slower wealth-reading pace Sol preferred).
- Different because: it is the deep, emotional, spoken "someone actually read my chart" gut-punch. The song made them feel seen; this makes them feel KNOWN.
- Loop it opens: "This was one door. There are two more, and a whole series behind them." Named open loop to the next chunk.
- Cost: ~$0.35-0.50, single pass off the Profile (proven: a strong Mirror chunk does not need the full Deep Run).
Rung 2 (Day 3): The Signature Card
- What: one gorgeous, on-brand PDF/image page. Their chart "signature": the master metaphor, their Big-3 convergence in plain lived language, one mantra line. Designed to be screenshot-and-shared.
- Different because: it is VISUAL, not audio. It is a keepsake and a social-proof engine (people post these). New modality entirely.
- Loop it opens: "This is the cover of your map. The full map is inside."
- Cost: near free. Deterministic chart data + two or three lines we already hold. No heavy model call.
Rung 3 (Day 4-5): A second audio, a DIFFERENT type
- What: a short second audio that is NOT another identity piece. Options: a ~90 second "Morning Activation," or a bedtime "Return" track. Different voice and/or bed from the Origin.
- Different because: it proves RANGE. It tells them the beta is a LIBRARY of audios for different moments, not one song on repeat.
- Loop it opens: "You would have a shelf of these, for morning, for sleep, for the hard days."
- Cost: ~$0.20, cheap shaping off the Profile.
Rung 4 (Day 6): "What Is Awake In You Now" (the Season note)
- What: a short, ~1-2 minute personal note (audio or tight written) on what is SPECIFICALLY active for them right now: the current transit/progression riding on their chart this week or month.
- Different because: it is LIVING and time-bound. It shows the system keeps knowing them as the sky moves, and it naturally expires, which creates gentle urgency.
- Loop it opens: "Your guidance updates as your sky does. Inside, it is always current." This is the strongest pull to a subscription mindset.
- Cost: ~$0.05-0.15 (chart timing is deterministic; a light model writes the note).
The invite (lands after Rung 1 and Rung 4 have opened loops)
- Framed not as "join now" but as "Doors Two and Three, your full daily series, and your living guidance are waiting inside." The loops we already opened do the selling.
Why this shape works
- Variety, not volume. Four rungs, four different experiences (deep spoken reading, a visual keepsake, a range-proving utility audio, a living timing note). Each is a fresh "wow," so curiosity compounds instead of flattening.
- Every rung opens a loop the beta closes. We never give the whole thing; we give the beginning of several things.
- Cost is capped and cheap. Whole ladder for a never-converter: ~$1.00-1.50. All single-pass off the stored Profile. The expensive Understanding only fires when they commit.
- It matches the digestible-chunk instinct. Nothing here needs to feel complete. Each rung is a start; the beta is where the series continues.
