Cosmic Report - Readability + Deadspace Redesign Plan (v1)

Jeff's feedback (2026-06-16) on the v3 report: text is often hard to read (wants new fonts and sizes), and there is a lot of deadspace. This is the plan for a v4 overhaul. Aligns with the affirmology-design brand skill (deep emerald + gold, Cormorant + Inter, Hellenistic, cinematic).

1. Readability (fonts + sizes + contrast)

The current build uses small body text (about 10pt), muted cream (#cdbfa3) for a lot of copy, and tiny mono labels (about 7.6pt) on a dark emerald field. On dark, small + muted is the hardest combination to read. Fixes for v4: - Body copy up to about 12pt with ~17-18pt leading, and in full cream (#faf6ee), not muted. Reserve muted only for true captions. - Real fonts instead of reportlab's Times/Helvetica substitutes: embed Cormorant Garamond (headlines) and Inter (body) as TTFs so the brand actually shows. (We have the brand spec; just need the font files registered.) - Mono labels up to 9pt minimum, used sparingly. - More contrast on cards: slightly lighter card fill or a touch brighter cream so text lifts off the background. - Generous paragraph spacing; never a wall of small text.

2. Deadspace (the empty lower halves of pages)

Pages currently end with large empty zones. Three on-brand ways to fill them, ideally mixed: - Hellenistic / constellation visuals: generate on-brand graphics to fill space, gold constellation linework, a breathing gold diamond, simple Greek-idealist marble-and-gold motifs, a star map of the person's own sky. Produced as SVG (vector, crisp in PDF) so they are clean and reusable. This is the strongest fix and matches the brand skill's "living canvas" aesthetic (rendered static for print). - Chart-drawn mantras as pull-quotes: drop a large, centered, gold-italic mantra in the empty space, drawn from the person's own chart (e.g., for Jeff "I do not chase the overflow. I become it."). Each one true to that page's theme. Turns deadspace into something to feel. - More narrative or advice: let the named agents say a little more (a second aside), or add a short "what to do with this" line per section. The council voices are popular and read well; a few more, placed in the gaps, both fill space and add value.

3. Build approach for v4

Status

Captured for a v4 pass. Not built yet (Jeff flagged it as a future overhaul). The Colin advisor read was delivered as information first, per Jeff, and a styled PDF for Colin should wait for this v4 typography/visual system so it is readable and full.
