Founding Preview App + Founding Constellation Hub - Spec (v1)
Context: texts go Friday 7/10, committers install TestFlight over the weekend, full library +
wide launch Monday 7/14. This spec covers (1) the simplified "Founding Preview" app for Code,
(2) how to iterate on other app versions without pushing them to the founding group, and (3) the
web "Founding Constellation Hub" that replaces the plain results page for committed members.
PART 1 - THE FOUNDING PREVIEW APP (for Code)
Not "locked", frame everything as a HEAD START. Reuse what already works (the player + the
chatbot are good); the job is to simplify the shell and hide the half-finished navigation.
Scope: three things only, everything else hidden/disabled for now.
1) HOME ("Founding Preview")
- Warm header: the Orbit-Star mark, "Welcome, ", the words "Founding Preview".
- A COUNTDOWN: "Your full experience opens Monday" (ticking to Mon 7/14).
- Optional: a short intro video that plays on first open (see video note below).
- Two big entry cards: "Listen" and "Talk to your guide". Nothing else competing.
2) LISTEN
- The person's own audios as a small, growing library: Origin Soul Song, The Mirror, and a
third that gets added over the weekend. The existing player (works well) drives it.
- Copy: "Live with these daily. Your full library opens Monday."
3) YOUR GUIDE (the chatbot - already good)
- Their Oracle guide chat. Framing line at top: "Your guide is getting to know you, to shape
the audios coming your way. Ask about your chart, your path, or whatever is on your mind."
- This is the star: it's engaging, it's the differentiator, and every conversation feeds the
Context & Learning that makes their Monday audios better. The flywheel starts pre-launch.
HIDE for the preview: the unfinished tabs/sections, any empty library states, profile edit depth,
anything mid. Keep the surface to Home / Listen / Guide so it feels intentional, not half-built.
TECH NOTES: needs each committer's audios loaded to their account (Origin + Mirror now, +1 over
the weekend); a simple countdown component; a trimmed nav. No new engine work, reuse player + chat.
PART 2 - TESTFLIGHT: iterate privately, keep the founding group stable
The key fact: in TestFlight, an external group only gets a build when you explicitly assign that
build to it. New uploads do NOT auto-push to external testers. So:
- The FOUNDING GROUP is an EXTERNAL group. Assign it ONLY the Founding Preview build. It stays on
that build until you deliberately push the Monday build to it. Your experiments never reach them.
- YOUR ITERATION: add yourself + Sol as INTERNAL testers (App Store Connect users). Internal testers
auto-receive every new build with NO beta review, so you can test new versions in minutes.
(Optional: a separate external "Dev" group with just you, if you prefer external-style installs.)
- FLOW: upload a new build -> it reaches internal (you/Sol) only -> you test freely -> the founding
group keeps the pinned Preview -> Monday, you push the full build to the founding group on purpose.
- Note: external (founding) builds need Apple beta review (usually a few hours), so submit the
Monday build for review by Sunday so it's approved in time. Internal builds skip review entirely.
PART 3 - THE FOUNDING CONSTELLATION HUB (web) (Cowork builds)
This replaces the plain demo results page FOR COMMITTED MEMBERS. Same link (their result?j=),
but once status = committed it shows an elevated "member home" instead of the "here's a taste, will
you join" demo framing. It should feel like crossing a threshold.
How it looks DIFFERENT and more SPECIAL than the results page:
- ELEVATED HEADER: the Orbit-Star + "The Founding Constellation", "Welcome, ", and a small
gold "Founding Member" seal. The Council Constellation image can hero here, it signals you're
inside now, not being pitched.
- A COUNTDOWN: "Your full experience opens Monday" (matches the app), so web + app feel like one thing.
- YOUR GROWING LIBRARY: Origin Soul Song, The Mirror, then each weekend gift stacks in below, a
visible, accumulating collection. This is the "it keeps giving" feeling the plain page lacked.
- YOUR PATH / STATUS: a simple checklist that fills in - You're in (done) -> App invite (Sunday) ->
WhatsApp circle -> Your report -> Weekly audios. Turns the wait into a visible plan.
- MEMBER LINKS: Install the app (live Sunday), Join WhatsApp, the Wiki, the walkthrough video.
- REFERENCE SECTION (lower on the hub, clearly labeled "The bigger picture" or "Explore"):
the welcome video, the "Where this is going" mission video, the Mission & Opportunity doc, and a
quiet "own a piece" line all live HERE, not gone, just moved below the member experience so they
are available to revisit and reference without dominating or feeling like a pitch. These stay on
the WEB, they do NOT go in the app (the app stays a clean "listen + talk to your guide" space).
The app can carry one simple "Open your web hub" link for anyone who wants the vision/docs.
Net: the results page was "a taste + an ask." The Founding hub is "you're in + your growing home +
what's unlocking next", with the vision, videos, and investor material tucked into a reference
section below. Same URL, elevated state, gated to committers. Division of spaces:
- APP = do (listen to your audios, talk to your guide, countdown to Monday).
- WEB HUB = be a member + reference everything (library, path, countdown, plus the videos, the
mission doc, and the invest line in the reference section).
VIDEO SEQUENCE idea (optional, nice-to-have): a short cinematic "Welcome to the Founding
Constellation" intro (Council + orbit motifs + a line from Jeff & Sol) that plays on first open of
the app and/or at the top of the hub, to make the threshold feel like an event.
THE FRIDAY TOUCH (refined 7/10) - the app is the weekend hero
- FRIDAY TEXT (Jeff, personal, per person): the commit ask + "then get the app loaded up over the
weekend, there's more waiting inside." The text's job is the yes + point them at the app.
- FRIDAY EMAIL (on commit): "Your Mirror reading is ready, AND you're in the app beta. Get it
loaded this weekend and listen to your Origin Song and Mirror right inside the app, then start
talking to your guide. Full library opens Monday."
- THE GATE stays clean: the MIRROR goes to everyone (the nudge); the APP INVITE (TestFlight) is the
reward for committing. Not-yet-committed folks get the Mirror + "loved it? lock your spot to get
into the app beta this weekend."
- So the weekend = they install, listen inside the app, and talk to their guide (data flywheel
starts). Monday = full library + wide.
THE ONE DEPENDENCY: this only works if Code can ship the Founding Preview build to TestFlight and
clear Apple's external beta review by Friday/Saturday. If it slips a day, we lose nothing, the
Mirror still lands Friday (web + email) and the app invite simply follows a day later. So the
Mirror is the guaranteed Friday value; the app is the weekend upgrade, not a hard gate.
What each person owns from here
- CODE: the Founding Preview app (simplify shell around player + chat + countdown), load audios,
keep founding group on a pinned build, submit Monday build for review by Sunday.
- COWORK (me): build the Founding Constellation Hub (committed-state of the results page), the
countdown, the growing-library layout, the path checklist; the wiki content; the TestFlight
install instructions; the intro-video script.
- JEFF + SOL: texts out (commit link), the Mirror out, record the intro/walkthrough video, open
WhatsApp Sunday, pick the 3rd audio gift.
