The First Reading: Structure Spec v1 (replaces The Mirror's old component-walk structure)

This is the definitive suggested structure for the new test first reading, fusing: the Mirror v4 minute map (Affirmology_FlagshipReading_Proposal_v1.md section 2), the recovered wealth-reading techniques (Affirmology_ReadingCraft_HeroStory_Synthesis_v1.md, Affirmology_WealthReading_Transcript_{Jeff,Sol}_v1.md), the aha registry (Affirmology_AhHaMoves_Registry_v1.md), and the new 44-record craft corpus (Affirmology_StorytellingHooks_Synthesis_ForCode_v1.md + _CraftBatch_v1.md). Written to the engine's own stage words (opening, induction, journey_structure, closing) so the per-stage craft retrieval in the synthesis doc's Part 4 maps one-to-one. No em dashes.

Naming: keep the customer-facing name THE MIRROR (already announced in the email template and the hub). Replace the structure underneath entirely. Internal structure id suggestion: mirror_recognition_v1.

Sourcing rule: the script composes from the person's Deep Map (or, until Deep Maps ship, from a fresh focused council pass), never from raw chart JSON. Chart-driven content rule and style exemplar unchanged.

The shape at a glance

10-12 minutes, ~1,500-1,700 words at Storyteller pace. One story circle. Three Doors (the Big 3 salience convergences) as the journey. ONE master symbol threaded start to finish. One loop always open. Rehook at every seam. One crescendo. Spoken, no music bed (per The Mirror's positioning), slightly slower pace, real pauses.

Stage map (engine stage words in parentheses)

1. THE PROMISE, 0:00-0:45 (opening)

• First breath = pattern break + the moved reader: "Take a breath with me before we start, because what I am holding is not a simple chart."
• Structural-fact anchor: their sky, date, time, place.
• The chart-true promise as an information gap: "By the end of these minutes, the thing you have privately called too much about yourself is going to sound like the most valuable thing you own."
• Plant the MASTER LOOP: "And there is one thing in this chart I am saving for last, because it changes how everything else lands."
• Progress scaffold: "Three doors. We will walk through all of them."
• Craft retrieval: opening query (hook promise curiosity gap first thirty seconds specificity).

2. BEING SEEN, 0:45-2:00 (opening into induction)

• One precise inner experience they never said out loud, sourced from the Deep Map's felt-pattern bank (specificity mechanic + prediction error): "you count the exits in every room" grade, never "you value security" grade.
• Deliver slow, then the first sacred pause with breath instruction: "Breathe that in. Let it be true for one breath."
• Introduce the MASTER SYMBOL here, drawn from the person's metaphor bank (their lamp, their diver, their keel). It will thread through every door and close the audio.
• Voice enters low, warm, intimate (delivery layer).
• Craft retrieval: induction query (prosody pause parasocial descend warmth).

3. THE THREE DOORS, 2:00-10:00 (journey_structure)

Each door is one of the Big 3 (salience: Loud + Activated + Juicy; built on cross-system convergence). Each door runs the segment template with a Vonnegut shape line (dip earned, rise past the start), ~2.5 min each:

1. Felt pattern first, multi-domain examples (relationships, business, kids, money, a regular Tuesday).
2. The reveal with the convergence refrain: "Four systems, built centuries apart. Same address."
3. The mechanism, stated as a causal chain ("here is the precise mechanism: when X, then Y, and when Y, then Z"), with fear preemption if the placement sounds scary.
4. Contrast engine: the two roads, both true, neither shamed, walked onto the higher one.
5. The portable law (one quotable principle) + the practical move (one literal instruction).
6. The affirmation line, spoken twice, slower the second time.

Door assignments: - Door One, 2:00-4:30: the loudest convergence. Their core signature, the "how did it know" hit. The master symbol does its first full work here. - Door Two, 4:30-7:15: the juiciest tension. Shadow-to-gift. Open with the polarity conundrum rehook ("in a minute you will hear how the thing you have apologized for becomes the thing people pay you for"). The Ira Glass beat lives here: "Picture the last time you said yes when your whole body meant no..." then the reflection. Somatic checkpoint at the deepest point ("notice what just stirred; where do you feel it in your body?"). - Door Three, 7:15-10:00: the emerging promise. North Node / gift-in-shadow / the becoming, second-person life-as-epic across three tenses (the past that formed them, the threshold now, the self becoming). If a real transit is live, one now-relevance beat with a date. THE CRESCENDO lands here, on the single most important identity line, fullest delivery of the reading. Mid-door, touch the master loop once ("we are almost at the thing I saved").

Retention layer across all doors: one loop always open (close one as the next opens), rehook at every seam with varied texture (direct address, pause, new image, fresh promise), ethical variable reward (container constant, reveal fresh). - Craft retrieval: journey query (story circle three act open loop contrast shadow gift symbol).

4. THE INSTALL, 10:00-10:45 (journey_structure into closing)

• PAY OFF THE MASTER LOOP: the saved thing. Make it the piece that reframes all three doors as one story ("the reason all three doors kept opening onto the same room").
• Deliver the core suggestion Ericksonian: presupposition-rich, identity-framed, anchored to present chart evidence ("as you begin to notice how this is already showing up in small moments... you are someone whose X comes from the inside now").
• Craft retrieval: install query (ericksonian presupposition identity based install dual coding).

5. THE SEAL, 10:45-11:30 (closing)

• Bookend the opening promise explicitly (resolve it in their hearing).
• The three affirmation lines restated once, breath-paced.
• Close INSIDE the master symbol ("You are the keel. Unseen, underwater, and the reason the whole vessel holds its course.").
• One deliberate forward loop, small and warm, pointed at the next audio ("there is a quieter thing in your chart. It is my favorite. Next time."). No CTA. End where the audio wants to end, no placement roll-call.
• Settle into calm certainty (delivery arc resolves).
• Craft retrieval: close query (closing affirmation cadence identity now recency symbol payoff).

Hard rules (the QC gate for this structure)

1. Never the checklist walk: reject any script whose section order mirrors the chart data structure.
2. Never naked jargon before the lived description; jargon demotion whenever a term is used ("the technical name matters less than the mechanism").
3. ONE master symbol, threaded through opening, gift, and close. At most one brief local image per door, subordinate to it. Never five competing metaphors.
4. Every loop opened is paid in this audio, except the single small forward loop at the seal.
5. Minimum two rehooks at seams; never interrupt a breath sequence to hook.
6. One crescendo, placed in Door Three; warmth over volume.
7. Each door ends in law + move + twice-spoken affirmation.
8. One somatic checkpoint minimum.
9. Composer-seam strip (no meta narration in the script), end-integrity check on the rendered audio, pronoun consistency check.
10. Word band 1,450-1,750; slightly slower render pace with real inter-sentence pauses.
11. The dip is earned and never stranded: any shadow named rises to its gift in the same door.
12. No fear/FOMO bait, no withheld reassurance, no guilt. The listener is the hero, always.
