Activation: buy-and-launch checklist
You make all purchases yourself (I cannot enter payment info). For each item: what and why, the plan to pick, where to buy, and the activation step after. Ordered by leverage. Prices verified June 2026; confirm on each site, they shift.
1. Render, cloud for the Studio engine (~$25/month)
- Why: moves the Studio off your laptop to 24/7 cloud and unlocks Atlas, the team hub, and persistent media. The engine (FFmpeg + WeasyPrint + ElevenLabs renders) needs real RAM.
- Plan: free tier (512MB) is too small for audio renders. Start on the Standard instance: 2GB RAM, 1 vCPU, ~$25/month. Scale to Pro later only if renders strain.
- Buy/setup: render.com, sign up, connect GitHub, New Web Service from the affirmology-studio repo (it already has render.yaml + the Dockerfile), pick Standard.
- Activation: in Render set the secrets (ElevenLabs key, STUDIO_AUTH_TOKEN, STUDIO_REQUIRE_AUTH=true). Then tell Claude Code "deploy affirmology-studio to Render from render.yaml" and it finishes config and points Cloudflare at it. Keep the laptop running until the cloud version is verified.
- Why: durable home for the audios and PDFs so the library persists off your laptop and serves fast. No egress fees.
- Cost: ~free at your scale (10GB storage free, then ~$0.015/GB). You just add a card to enable it.
- Buy/setup: Cloudflare dashboard, R2, Enable, Create bucket
affirmology-media, create an R2 API token (read/write).
- Activation: put the R2 keys + STUDIO_STORAGE=r2 into Render's env (the R2 backend is already coded in the Studio). Claude Code flips it on.
3. OpenRouter / Nemotron credit, finish the corpus (~$10 to $20)
- Why: unlocks full-speed Nemotron + higher rate limits so the corpus backlog structures overnight. Cheap: the whole backlog is a couple dollars at $0.50 / $2.50 per million tokens.
- First: ROTATE the key you pasted earlier (delete it, make a new one), then add ~$10 to $20 credit at openrouter.ai.
- Activation: in Claude Code run the Nemotron quality gate, then the overnight backlog (kickoff is in
Affirmology_Nemotron_CorpusUpgrade_Plan_v1.md). Keep the key in your environment, not in any file.
4. Higgsfield, the video engine (start mid, not top)
- Your $60 vs $120 question: start lower. Current tiers (verify at higgsfield.ai/pricing): roughly Starter ~$15 / Plus ~$39 / Ultra ~$99, with ~200 / 1,000 / 3,000 monthly credits, and top-up packs ~$5 per 100 credits (they expire in 90 days).
- Recommendation: you are still concepting, so start on the mid tier (Plus-ish, ~$39 to $60). Generate for a week, then upgrade to the top tier or buy a top-up pack the moment you hit the ceiling. Do not pre-buy the top plan before you know your burn rate; you can scale up mid-month.
- Activation: feed it your
Affirmology_HiggsfieldPromptKit docs and start with ONE asset (the meet-cute or a brand-story scene).
5. Audio / music library, beds for the audios and films (pick the LICENSE carefully)
- Why: royalty-free music beds for the Sacred Audios and the videos.
- CRITICAL: you are embedding music inside a product you SELL (the audios) and in paid marketing. Most cheap "creator" tiers license only social/YouTube use, NOT music inside a commercial product you distribute. Pick a library and plan whose license explicitly covers music synchronized into a product or app you sell.
- Good fits: Artlist or Epidemic Sound on a business/commercial tier, or Soundstripe; all have deep meditative/ambient catalogs. Verify the license language before buying.
- (Ask me to research the exact best-license-for-a-sold-audio-product option and I will recommend one with the license terms.)
6. Claude API backend top-up, for the corpus (small, maybe skip)
- With Nemotron doing the cheap bulk structuring, Claude only does the quality observer and reports, so you likely need just a small top-up, if any. Add ~$10 to $20 at console.anthropic.com only if the corpus quality pass needs it. Nemotron is the cheap workhorse now; do not overspend here.
Suggested order
Render + R2 first (biggest unlock), then OpenRouter (cheap corpus finish), then Higgsfield (start mid), then the music library (with the right license), then a small Claude top-up only if needed.
